| After leaving college and marrying his
sweetheart, Ray Barclay, Peter Wordworth Ford moved to Chicago and settled down to raise a
family. But soon a promotion led him to the East Coast, and he found just the place,
a towering home just off the New Jersey coast in Atlantic Highlands. At 66 South Ave. the little East Coast Ford Family Branch grew and
prospered over the next ten years, while Pete and Ray produced five offspring.
Sailing and tennis were a major part of the family fun, and all the children became fine
athletes. (Sarah's sport is yet to be determined.)
Today the East Coast Branch, although still centered
in Atlantic Highlands, has spread out somewhat, with major twigs in other parts of New
Jersey and in Atlanta. Below is a diagram of the East Coast Branch as it looks
